Christen Urbach is a Certified Labor Doula through the International Childbirth

Education Association (ICEA), and trained by DONA International.  She

is a Nutritionist having received her M.S. in Human Nutrition and Food

Science from Colorado State University.  She serves the Denver Metro area.

Cherry Blossom Families provides birth doula, along with prenatal & postpartum nutrition services in the greater Denver area.  As a doula, and mother of two, I recognize that a couple will carry the memory of their child's birth for the rest of their lives.  I am there to educate, serve, and support each family in the choices and desires that are right for them.  Together we work prenatally so that you feel supported and confident in the labor and birth process and the preferences you desire.

As active labor begins, I join mother and partner to provide consistent emotional, physical, and informational support which allows this time to unfold with as much gentleness, comfort, and care as possible.  I do not replace the partner, doctor, or midwife but instead work with them as a team to ensure an optimal experience.  It is a tremendous honor to share in one of the greatest moments in a woman's and family's life.

I attend and support all births whether it be medicated or unmedicated, vaginal/VBAC or cesarean, at the hospital, birthing center or home.

"Doulas exist as guardians of families while

they're being born."  -Ananda Lowe
